“My son and I attended the walking tour of the National Mall on Friday night; the tour and the tour guide (Terry) were great. Also had an opportunity to meet some other great people on the tour, learned a great deal more than what is on Google.”

“Terry was not only knowledgeable, but very personable. Sometimes history, especially political history, can be pretty dry. Terry presented in a way that did not dumb down the material nor bore his audience. I left the tour feeling proud to be an American.”

Terry was a wonderful and knowledgable tour guide. He was able to impart history and information to our then teenage son in a way that was still cool and interesting. We truly enjoyed our experience with Terry as our guide and along the way learned facts and history surrounding our nation’s capitol that will stay with us forever! Great job Terry! We will call you when planning our next visit to D.C. Sincerely, Diane Jackson and family , Pittsburgh, PA

Terry is the best tour guide in DC! My family and I have gone on many tours and no other has taken into consideration our interests like Terry. He made each site compelling and also made the extraordinary effort to create a personal connection at various learning levels. Terry is the right choice for any group or family! He will see to it that you get the most out of DC!

My husband and I were lucky enough to schedule a tour with Restivo Tours. Terry’s passion and knowledge of American history was captivating! He went above and beyond by sharing information that you wouldn’t find in a basic text book and used his sense of humor to ensure that our tour was entertaining. We relaxed, learned and had a great time getting to know our nation’s history.
    Thanks Terry!

Last week I was on a tour led by Terry of the Civil War Battlefields of Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. All those on the tour were tourists who had travelled from Britain, so for all of us it was quite a trip. For me it was the trip of a lifetime as I have been interested in the civil war for nearly 50 years.

Terry took us to places that have caught my imagination for all that time, Gettysburg, Antietam, Manassas etc. Terry exercised consummate skill in ensuring that we got to all these places (and a lot more) over the next seven days. Throughout he showed a professionalism in ensuring that all our needs were catered for and an enthusiasm for his subject. I particularly liked the way he took time out in Richmond to show us the statue of Robert E Lee on Monument Avenue, when a large part of the city was closed down due to a cycle rally. With me he always pointed out places on interest to ensure that I could take a good photo.

In total we visited 6 battlefield sites (and a ghost walk !) where there were specialized battlefield guides to take us round the battlefields. It was due to Terry’s organizational skill that we managed to see all of these. Terry’s specialty is Washington DC and we had two great days with him guiding us round the city…..the Lincoln Memorial, White House, the Capitol and a very detailed and fascinating tour of Arlington National Cemetery.

Nothing was too much for him to ensure that our needs were met, so well done Terry and thank for making this such a memorable trip.”

I travel to Washington, DC, every year with my eighth grade class. This was my first time having Terry as a tour guide, and he was excellent. Not only was he engaging and knowledgeable, but he also commanded the attention of my students. I definitely plan on using him again in the future!
